Super-Charged Auburns: longer is better

By Cory Doctorow at 6:11 am Sunday, Oct 2

This ad for the Super-Charged Auburn from the May 5, 1935 Newsweek shows a car sporting a four-yard-long hood driving at 100mph to the red-faced chagrin of someone in a merely very large car.

Contest entry: NOBODY has THAT much under the hood. [vintage-ads.livejournal.com] Tags: ad, automotive, Funny, Old school, phallic
